Ciara Oliva

Senior Physiotherapist, APPI Pilates instructor

Ciara is our senior physiotherapist specialising in musculoskeletal and sports injuries, and definitely stands out from the crowd. Ciara has a unique skillset that she brings to abloc, she is an APPI Pilates instructor who has specialised in helping clients with neurological, ante-natal and post-natal issues.

She also fits perfectly into the ethos of abloc, she is very performance-driven, being an olympian from the Rio 2016 games, world championships medallist in Track and Road Cycling and former british record holder . She is also currently the lead physiotherapist with Team GB wheelchair fencing team at the UK Sports institute and went to the Paris 2024 games. Ciara’s experience as an elite athlete means she ‘gets’ performance and understands the processes in how to get there, how best to manage yourself and how to achieve your goals.

Q&A

Spending time with my family is my favourite thing to do, going for walks, coffee & date nights with my husband.

I love taking our children to the park & beach; being outdoors! I love training; swimming, cycling and running. I teach pilates twice weekly and LOVE teaching my classes.

New Zealand, Japan & Canada are three places i’ve never been to and would love to visit.

I love helping people, that is why I got into Physiotherapy. I love the clinical reasoning process and love seeing patients achieve their goals
