Sam Harrison

Physiotherapist

Sam is part of the Abloc Physiotherapy team, helping athletes and active individuals recover stronger, move better, and perform at their best. He uses hands-on treatment, soft tissue therapy, tailored exercise programs, and performance-focused rehab to guide clients from acute injury to full return to play or running — whether that’s returning to team sports, managing a niggle while training for endurance events, or chasing a new PB.

A former elite cyclist and World Track Championship medallist, European Champion, and World Cup winner, Sam also works at Cardiff Metropolitan University, supporting athletes across multiple sports with musculoskeletal injuries, performance optimisation, and overall wellbeing, and also works as a performance cycling coach.

High performance is maximising your current circumstances towards a goal, then living that process consistently over months, not just days or weeks. It doesn’t need to be perfect or epic — it needs to be realistic, achievable, and focused on doing the basics brilliantly. It’s process-driven, not outcome-driven.
